The Saudi Sports for All Federation(SFA), led by Managing Director Ms. Shaima Saleh AlHusseini, participated in THE SPOT in Lausanne, Switzerland, where international federation leaders, innovative startups, academics, and athletes met from May 4-5 to shape the future of sport.
During AlHusseini’s participation, she highlighted the Federation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international relationships and exchange knowledge with global sports entities. She joined other prominent participants on May 5 to consider how athlete brands are changing sport, the future of the Olympic Games, and navigating change in a complex international federation ecosystem.
“Attending THE SPOT was a valuable opportunity to engage with leaders and organizations shaping the future of physical activity and sport,” AlHusseini said. “It enabled meaningful discussions and strengthened relationships with like-minded supporters of inclusivity, wellbeing, and community impact within the global sport ecosystem.”
During the event, AlHusseini represented SFA in meetings with representatives from The Global Observatory for Gender Equality & Sport, a champion of women in sports, and with Smart Cities & Sports, an advocate for the intersection of sports and urban development
Powered by ThinkSport, THE SPOT is a purpose-driven event focused on sport and innovation, hosted at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, home of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1915. The event brings together global sports stakeholders to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends, and discuss the future of the industry.
This year’s edition welcomed more than 150 international federation representatives, 40-plus investors, and 80 startups attended THE SPOT. The International Olympic Committee, the International Skating Union, FIFA, Switzerland 2038, UEFA, World Rowing, World Gymnastics and the International Golf Federation were among the federations that attended.
The Saudi Sports for All Federation is dedicated to increasing sport and physical activity participation across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
