The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) recently participated in the 7th Annual OSHRM Conference, which took place from February 12-14 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat. The event, organized by the Omani Society for Human Resource Management (OSHRM), with the theme ‘Sprinting Towards the Future of Work’, spotlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping the human resources landscape.
The OSHRM Conference is a premier platform for talent development professionals, academics, and industry experts to explore the latest trends and innovations in human resources. With over 65 speakers and more than 900 attendees, the conference offers a diverse range of sessions, workshops, and presentations, focusing on the ethical implications and transformative potential of AI in the workplace.
The SFA’s presence underscored its commitment to leveraging AI to drive sustainable development in the sports and wellness sector. As part of the discussions, the SFA shared how it uses AI to create content for promotional campaigns, and tailor the training advice and programs found in its app to individual users. It also revealed how AI can streamline operations, including the hiring of staff, as well as the challenges it presents.
Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, SFA Managing Director, said: “The SFA recognizes the transformative potential of AI in revolutionizing the sports and wellness industry, and we were excited to participate in the OSHRM Conference and share our thoughts. Through innovative solutions, such as leveraging the AI features of our software, and integrating algorithms into our app, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences, and fostering a culture of health and wellness.”
OSHRM is the first and only entity in Oman to establish a platform of excellence in the field of human resources, with members from public and private sectors. Legally recognized as an independent not-for-profit professional society in accordance with Omani regulations, OSHRM has become one of the most active NGOs in the country, expanding its networks with business, government, and corporate sector partners, other NGOs, individuals and volunteering groups, both regionally and internationally.
The SFA is dedicated to promoting a culture of health and wellness through sports and physical activity in Saudi Arabia. By leveraging innovative technologies, such as AI, providing access to sports facilities, organizing events, developing online campaigns, and supporting grassroots initiatives, it aims to inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to lead active and healthy lifestyles. The annual Riyadh Marathon, organized by the SFA, attracted more than 20,000 participants in 2024.
