Federation turns campaigns and communications green to commemorate the special occasion alongside various sporting activations
The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) is gearing up to mark Saudi Arabia’s 91st National Day by reflecting Saudi pride in the sports sector and paying tribute to the sporting determination of its people.
The Federation’s activities leading up to National Day will coalesce under the hashtag #مجتمع_سعودي_رياضي paying homage to active Saudi society. This hashtag will serve as the banner for people from all walks of life to share their daily lifestyles and how they stay active throughout the day.
“The Sports for All Federation joins you all in congratulating the nation on the occasion of Saudi’s 91st National Day. The Federation, in step with the nation’s leadership, is consistently working towards a health-first mindset across all our communities. We congratulate His Majesty, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the incredible accomplishments that have ignited the pride of our people all over the country. A healthy and active population is a prosperous one; we’ll be alongside you celebrating through our various activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing,” said HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, President, SFA. Prince Khaled further noted that the tremendous support of the Quality of Life program and a unified purpose under Vision 2030 continued to propel the SFA team to innovate programs and activations to meet the country’s wellness targets.
The Federation is hosting special events to mark Saudi National Day. Step Together, a series of virtual walking and running challenges for communities throughout Saudi Arabia, will hold a special National Day challenge from September 20-29. Participants completing the challenge will receive a medal to commemorate the occasion, along with a certificate of completion (We invite you to register here).
SFA’s host of walking events and campaigns at Arabian Centre malls across Saudi Arabia will continue and will commemorate National Day closer to the occasion. The walking track installed at Al Nakheel Mall will also host a National Day challenge, asking visitors to walk 2030 steps through the SFA App for a chance to win fun prizes. This initiative builds on the SFA’s goal of marking the nation’s progress through inclusive sporting events that bring together everyone irrespective of age, ability, background or gender (Click here to download the SFA App on iOS or Android).
A special cycling event is also being hosted for National Day celebrations in collaboration with the Saudi Cycling Federation and MiSK Foundation on the 23rd of September. Cyclists in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar have signed up to cycle 15km to mark the occasion (Click here to register).
The 91st Saudi National Day is an important occasion in the SFA’s ongoing efforts to create a healthier and more active Saudi society. It also marks the SFA’s support for the goals of the Quality of Life program mandated in the Saudi Vision 2030. The Quality of Life program calls for increasing the number of people undertaking regular physical activity in the Kingdom to 40% by 2030. The Federation is helping meet this target by facilitating activations, partnerships and creative campaigns that bring communities together through sports and get people moving.
