Following the success of last year’s course, the second iteration of the Saudi program will be hosted face-to-face and in-person
For the second year running, the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) is set to host the TAFISA Certified Leadership Course in Sport for All (TAFISA CLC): a three-day training program aimed at sports leaders and professionals.
Building on the success of last year’s virtual course, the second edition of the Saudi-focused program is scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 December 2022, bringing 50 participants and 10-plus SFA employees together to complete their training face-to-face and in-person.
The Certified Leadership Course (CLC) will be delivered in English, with an Arabic translator on-hand to ensure all participants are ably supported to learn as much as possible. Exposing trainees to the fundamentals of Sport for All development, the CLC is designed to promote Sport for All and physical activity in the Kingdom, while providing a platform for debate, knowledge and experience-sharing, and networking.
The program is fully geared towards the development and strengthening of the Saudi Sport for All movement, in addition to building the capacity of national, regional, and grassroots organizations.
All in all, the CLC will help to showcase research and development in the Sport for All and physical activity sector, equipping attending leaders and managers with all-important tools. It will train and qualify these men and women, priming them for further success as impactful changemakers committed to spurring the Kingdom’s sporting transformation.
The course will cover seven main topics. These include: “The Global Philosophy of the Sport for All movement and TAFISA”, “Sport for All in Saudi Arabia”, and “Sport for All Programs and Events Management”. The course will also cover “Target Groups & Settings in Sport for All”, “Marketing and Public Relations in Sport for All”, “Leadership and Management in Sport for All”, and “Strategy Development in Sport for All”.
