SFA Forms New Board of Directors to Drive Expansion and Elevate Community Sports in Saudi Arabia

In a strategic step to advance the development of community sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Sports for All Federation announced the formation of its new Board of Directors, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. The new Board will support national efforts to increase physical activity and reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a global reference in community sports, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Quality of Life Program.

The Board of Directors is a distinguished group of national leaders who will help expand the Federation’s impact locally and strengthen its presence internationally. Members include Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America; His Excellency Mr. Bader bin Mohammed Al Asaker, Head of the Private Office of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Member of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk”; Dr. Ghazi bin Faisal Binzagr, Saudi Ambassador to Japan; and Mr. Firass bin Abdullah AlKassim, Advisor to the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk” .

The Board will also include Her Highness Princess Haifa bint Mohammed Al Saud, Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers; Mr. Richard Attias, Founder & Chairman of Richard Attias & Associates; Chairman of the Executive Committee of FII Institute; Mr. Khalid bin Abdullah AlBaker, Chief Executive Officer of the Quality of Life Program Center ; and Mr. Hammad bin Khalid AlBalawi, Chief of Strategy & Planning at the World Cup Hosting Higher Authority 2034.

On this occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, affirmed that the new Board represents an exciting new phase in the Federation’s journey, stating: “We are moving today from the stage of building to the stage of expansion and impact. This Board represents a leadership platform that will drive community sports to new horizons and enhance the Kingdom’s global presence as an advanced model in making physical activity a way of life. With this formation, we are working to launch qualitative initiatives, expand partnerships, and raise the quality of programs in a way that achieves a sustainable impact on society.”

For her part, the Managing Director of the Federation, Ms. Shaima bint Saleh AlHusseini, explained that the diversity of expertise within the Board of Directors will enable the Federation to accelerate the achievement of its objectives, adding that the next phase will witness a significant qualitative shift in programs and initiatives. She stated: “The new Board, through the diversity of expertise it represents, will strengthen our ability to move with greater flexibility toward an integrated community sports ecosystem — one built on innovation and international partnerships and designed to reach all segments of society. The Board will support our efforts to expand SFA’s impact and transform sport from an activity into a sustainable way of life”

The new Board brings to the Federation a broad diversity of expertise in the fields of tourism, international events, national programs, and strategy. This collective background will support the development of an integrated model for community sports, link it to economic sectors and quality of life, and enhance the Kingdom’s readiness to host major global events in this field.
