Under the slogan, “It’s Easier Than You Think,” the campaign aims to encourage the community to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle during the holy month of Ramadan

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) launches its 2022 Ramadan campaign under the slogan “It’s Easier than You Think” to promote physical activity and healthy habits during the holy month of Ramadan.  The SFA launched several activities, events, and videos that run through the full month of Ramadan.

This rollout builds on the success of SFA’s previous Ramadan campaigns, namely the 2020 Move to Donate campaign in collaboration with the Saudi Food Bank, where the community’s pledge to work out and stay active was translated into more than 500 food baskets to be distributed to families in need in Saudi.  Last year, the SFA launched the Ehsaan Sports Challenge on its mobile application, collaborating with the Ehsaan donation platform and Nahdi Medical Company.  The challenge saw more than 3,726 participants complete over 112 million steps that were then translated into 64,000 Saudi Riyal worth of charitable donations.

This year, the SFA has launched its most significant and exciting sports challenge on the SFA mobile application.  Participants who complete 4,000 steps daily or a total of 120,000 over the holy month will be automatically entered into a raffle with a total prize worth more than 1,000,000 Saudi Riyal.  Winners will be announced after Ramadan and will be notified directly via their profile on the SFA app.  People of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the challenge, stay healthy during Ramadan, and win big.

And on this occasion, the SFA President, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, said: “On behalf of the team members of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, I’m honored to congratulate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia leadership and everyone in Saudi on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.  Our healthy and active community at SFA is celebrated every day.  During Ramadan this year, we want to motivate them to stay healthy and maintain an active lifestyle through our various programs and activities across different regions in Saudi.”

The 2022 campaign also sees the SFA expanding its Neighborhood Clubs Program offerings, where both youths and adults alike to enjoy a wide range of sports and athletic activities.  During the first few weeks of the holy month, the clubs will host football and basketball tournaments for both genders of all ages across 10 Neighborhood Clubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern Province, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Taif, Tabuk, and Hafar Al-Batin in addition to a volleyball tournament for men.  Winners across each tournament’s age division will receive prizes, trophies, medals, and commemoratory caps.  All clubs have added Ramadan-exclusive activities that include street basketball, darts, aerobics, kickboxing and other fitness classes, card games, and more.  SFA is also keen on bringing the community together through a range of social and educational events.  These include bazaars and traditional heritage shows, health awareness lectures, educational competitions, and a traditional food corner.  In addition to these activities, the SFA partnered up with the Tennis Federation to launch the Tennis For All Program at six Neighborhood Clubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Eastern Province to introduce youth to tennis.  The program is currently open to youth from the age of 6 to 17 (Click Here to learn more about the Neighborhood Clubs).

With the Kingdom’s student population in mind, SFA will continue to promote its Universities Community Sports Groups Program in collaboration with the Saudi Universities Sports Federation (SUSF).  The program seeks to encourage and facilitate physical activity in universities across the Kingdom.  Throughout the Holy Month, it will enable students, faculty, and staff to form community sports groups, events, and initiatives across seven major universities and several vocational and training colleges across the Kingdom.  This program aims to help transform universities into hubs.

The SFA has also joined forces with Abdullah Al-Othaim Investment to host walking tracks in several Al-Othaim Malls after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Riyadh Chamber earlier this month.

With an eventful Ramadan in-store, the SFA looks forward to activating vibrant community-led sports initiatives that reflect the federation’s commitment to increasing physical activity levels across the Kingdom to 40% by 2030, one of the Quality of Life Program’s key objectives in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
