The agreement will see Al Nahdi Medical Company contribute facilities and equipment to Community Sports Groups, as well as rewards and coupons to winners of SFA app challenges

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) and Al Nahdi Medical Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding to empower the fitness and activity community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The MoU was signed at one of Al Nahdi pharmacies in Riyadh by the President of the SFA, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, and the CEO of Al Nahdi Medical Company, Mr. Yasser Joharji.

The agreement will see Al Nahdi contribute to the SFA’s mission to increase the ratio of people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in exercising regularly to 40% by 2030 – as mandated by Vision 2030’s Quality of Life Program.

As well as supporting Community Sports Groups with facilities and sports equipment, Al Nahdi will sponsor SFA app challenges, offering rewards and coupons to winners.

The retail pharmacy chain will also promote the SFA app and its challenges to subscribers of its program (Wazen Hayatek – وازن حياتك), sponsor SFA programs and events, and share data, insights, and case studies that are relevant to community sports.

“We are pleased to be working closely with Al Nahdi Medical Company, which shares a common goal with the SFA – to help people lead active and healthier lives,” said HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, President of the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA).

“Al Nahdi’s support will surely enhance the experience of our nation’s Community Sports Groups and SFA app users, encouraging people of all ages, genders, and abilities to strive towards their fitness goals.”

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) and Al Nahdi Medical Company experienced a successful partnership in May this year with the “Ehsaan Steps Challenge”, which also featured the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority’s Ehsan Platform. The seven-day challenge saw more than 2,700 people raise SAR 64,000 for healthcare charities by walking a total of 95,000 kilometers.

“Our previous collaboration showed what we can achieve together, which makes us all the more excited about our new partnership,” said Al Nahdi Medical Company, CEO Mr. Yasser Joharji.

“As Saudi Arabia’s largest pharmacy retailer chain, we are committed to serving communities across the Kingdom, and together with the SFA, we are looking forward to making an even more positive impact on people by adding beats to their lives, everyday.”

Supported by the Ministry of Sport, the SFA is mandated by Vision 2030’s Quality of Life Program to increase the ratio of people in the Kingdom exercising regularly to 40% by 2030. In order to achieve this, the SFA strives to sign agreements, build partnerships with government entities and the private sector in addition to launching different initiatives and programs, which should support in achieving the desired goal.
