More than 1,000 home workout entries to the two week competition were submitted
The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) and the Saudi Universities Sports Federation’s (SUSF) first-ever collaboration proved to be an extreme success with more than 1,000 entries. Under the Baytak Nadeek umbrella, the challenge sought to get university students across the country physically active as part of the Quality of Life Program and Vision 2030.
SUSF awarded 10 students an iPhone 11 Pro, based on their photo and video entries of home workouts posted across Instagram or Twitter tagging both Federations and using the hashtag #بيتك_ناديك. The winners came from several different universities across Saudi Arabia including Madinah, Jouf, Jeddah, Jubail, and Riyadh.
The competition, open to students from both private and public universities, ran from April 14 until April 26, 2020. Students shared a variety of workouts from yoga to martial arts, weight training routines, HIIT workouts, soccer drills, jump rope technique, daily walks, and runs at home.
The two Federations held initial collaborative discussions in early February, with the Baytak Nadeek Challenge marking the first joint cooperative activation between the two entities aimed at increasing physical activity participation in youth, and also to motivate students to remain active during the quarantine period.
The Saudi SFA and SUSF warmly applaud all participants for their dedication to physical activity over the past two weeks. Let’s continue to stay active for our mental and physical health!
Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to SUSF for the generous prizes!
