ROSHN and the Saudi Sports for All Federation sign a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in the field of sports

Under the terms of the agreement ROSHN and the SFA will explore opportunities for development in the field of sports, particularly within ROSHN’s sustainable and liveable communities through bolstering the sports activities, expanding the array of health, leisure and amenities that ROSHN offers its residents.

And on this occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, President of the SFA, affirmed: “This memorandum of understanding is in line with the Federation’s efforts to realize the goals of the Saudi’s Vision 2030 by establishing strategic, mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with the relevant authorities, including ROSHN. This partnership aims to develop sports assets across the Company-owned lands to achieve the objectives of both entities.” His Royal Highness added: “As part of our cooperation with ROSHN, we aim to provide access to sport facilities and events for all age groups living in the residential communities. This collaboration will further one of the most important goals of the Federation: promoting and building a healthier and more active society through sports and strengthening its significance as a core element of societal culture.”

For his part, David Grover, ROSHN’s Group CEO, stated, “This agreement is great news for ROSHN and our customers. The projects we are undertaking are some of the largest in Saudi Arabia, and strategic relationships like this ensure our ability to offer the very best to the inhabitants of our communities. The objectives of both ROSHN and the Sports for All Federation are aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the Quality of Life strategy, so this partnership is a perfect fit and a big boost to our vision of bringing a new way of living to Saudi Arabia.”

Both SFA and ROSHN are active enablers of Vision 2030 mandates. ROSHN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) subsidiary, actively works to enact Saudi’s Vision 2030 by increasing the rate of home ownership. Meanwhile, SFA is tasked with the Vision 2030 mandate of increasing the level of physical activity in Saudi Arabia.

ROSHN is a national community developer, powered by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). It has a mandate to deliver high-quality living standards to Saudis and support government efforts to increase rates of home ownership. ROSHN builds communities that look both to Saudi heritage and the evolving aspirations of the Saudi people.

The first project, SEDRA, located just south of Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, is an integrated, walkable community designed to enhance interaction between residents and encourage a healthy lifestyle with a variety of essential facilities such as green spaces, cycle tracks, hospitals, medical centers, schools, mosques, and retail outlets.
