Coach Saad starts this final 20-minute workout in the Summer Camp series with his warmup and stretching sequence. Make sure your little ones follow along to avoid any injuries during the workout.

He gets right into the warmup with heart-pumping running in place followed by the using all the major muscle groups in bear crawls and these exercises are repeated once.

The first workout begins by exercising the core muscles and glutes, quads, and adductors with scissors. Then he introduces the plank tuck. Combination exercises efficiently build strength and a plank with knee tucks involves the shoulders, core and legs. It focuses on multiple areas of the body at once and can help prevent lower back pain. Coach Saad moves seamlessly into the third exercise – burpees. If you’ve been following the Summer Camp series, you know that this is a full body workout. These three exercises are repeated once.

Grab the skipping rope because workout two starts with rope jumps to build hand-to-eye coordination and cardiovascular fitness, before your child must drop to the floor for bicycle crunches. Bicycle crunches work almost all the abdominal muscles, so it’s important that your child keeps their core engaged.

The final exercise of this workout is the handstand. Also known as the frog stand, this move develops strength skills while improving balance and flexibility. It also enhances the strength and endurance of arm, shoulders, and lower back muscles and is very useful in developing core stabilizing muscles.

If your child is enjoying these sequences, you can repeat them so they can do another if they feel up to it.

Finally, as we conclude the Summer Camp series it’s time to cool down and help the temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate to return to their normal levels.
